Now that the "Recent comments (on 20 threads)" has been implemented, am I to assume that the user settings (re: amount of days posts stay on the main page) are no longer being used? [+]

That is to say, regardless of whether I want, say, five days of posts, I'm still only going to get the last twenty active threads? Does this mean I need to click Archive, and get the entire month's posts instead? Don't get me wrong, I like the recent comments pony, I'm just dismayed that I can't immediately get to earlier posts without going to the Archive, and having to pull up ALL the earlier posts.

What are you talking about? I think you accidentally set the sort-by dropdown in the upper-right of the front page to "recent comments" and got confused. Change it back to "date", and you'll be back to normal.

I never noticed the dropdown, in all this time.

sorry, folks.
