I've been nudged enough - by more than a few interested parties - to point out that it just may be time for another Dallas MeFi meetup. Granted, we've an awful lot to live up to this time around, but how many of us metroplexuals are in and when and where? (and yes, Eris, you brought this on - and maybe, just maybe, we can trump the record in my apartment of six people crashing at my place)

i'll be there only if you and togger lets me get you drunk again. as far as locale, how about greenville ave? maybe dinner at blue goose or glorias and then off to a bar at a quiet kind of place like san fransisco rose or service bar. i'd vote staying away from any crowded or loud place. of course, we could hit monica's in deep ellum then one of your places down there (though i don't want to end up paralyzed). as for dates, my calender is relatively free except the evening of the 29th and 30th because i have to be in a wedding.

Hm. Sounds fun to me! Wonder if a meet in the middle option is viable, though - what's between Dallas and Ft. Worth that might be able to handle a bunch of MeFites?

hmm. i wouldn't be opposed to an afternoon meeting in ft. worth at joe t's. like a garden fiesta. just mentioning joe t's makes me drool. that is, as long as my ass doesn't have to drive back to dallas.

as far as middle grounds... i don't have any ideas. the only place i can even think of would be cool river in las colinas but that is sooo not the kind of place to meetup.

The airport? I know, that's not very helpful. If we're looking to do a D/FW bash, there are some decent restaurants in the Grapevine area (north of the airport, then).

We could do dinner mid-cities followed by a bar Dallas-side?

Or really, just the airport. Lots of fun can be had by riding those little trams back and forth between terminals.

The airport could be fun, bars, eating and socializing while watching the planes land & take off. Without an airplane ticket to enter the airport – we may be limited to hanging out at baggage claim or the airline desk counters.

If we are going for back to back sleep over, can we have bloody marys this time?

I'm certainly not averse to a Cowtown meetup, but that may have to be separate (but equal). Only problem is my work leaves me unable to leave Dallas for extended periods of time. Meanwhile, what's the word Dallas kiddos? Next weekend might could work. Hell, whenever. Just tell me where to be, and I'm there...

(btw, leia, should you read this, come out...I need to chat w/ you...my sister's probably moving to your old stomping grounds and needs some advice)

Well, since I have been mentioned, I might need to point out that I have company till the evening of the 16th and will be going to the beautiful state of Colorado the weekend of the 22nd. So, unless you want to party and miss my company, I humbly request a delay until after then, because I refuse to let anyone else sleep in the recliner.

I wish I knew the area better, the only place I can recommend with any authority whatsoever is one that'll get me shot by most of the wait staff if I suggest it. ;)
