The link/comment ratio for
some new users is all over the place, as are a lot of other behaviors such as overly-lengthy front page posts (not to mention basic respect and tolerance for people's views)

Is this another case of "things are different at the moment, normal rules may not apply" (Because I can see a case for that, really) At some stage though, could all of this start to become problematic as these users seek to continue the behaviors learnt during this stage? That they will consider this the norm and become perhaps justifiably annoyed when it's pointed out that it isn't?
