Is there some kind of requirement that all metafilter guys MUST have great heads of hair before they can go to a meet-up? Who will be the first balding meta-guy in a meetup photo?

(I'm can't make the SF meeting tomorrow because of a conflict with the Giants-Dodgers game, so it won't be me...)

The trouble with shoutouts is that later you remember whom you wanted to shout to, but it is just too damn late. The underlit photos have all been taken (quonsar, the interior of the Tap Room is black as an opium den at night), the last call has been sounded, the pink elephants have stopped tapdancing, and you suddenly remember everyone else to whom you meant to shout. So, SHOUT! I meant it for you. Yes, you.

Oh, and hototogisu not only has gorgeous hair sitting atop a sound mind, he gets your back when you lose the thread of your conversation, your money, and your car keys. Do not question how I know this, oh please don't.

This is true. With my glasses off I'll quite happily chat up poles, mannequins, trees...basically anything upright. Actually, after 7 or 8 beers I do pretty much the same thing.
