It's been harder for me to get away to check in online than I expected... but I'm still up for the original plan:

Sat May 28
8ish pm
bierodrome, islington

if you all are. And if someone can tell me how to get there :).

I might make it anyway, not quite sure yet. If you tell us where you're coming from, we'll tell you how to get there.

I shall miss you by more than a month. I'll be out the week of July 4.

Considering that flights from Ljubljana to London are currently about as expensive as taking a bus, I'm almost ashamed that I won't be there. Especially since meeting mdn would be a treat. (For me, at any rate.) Hope everyone has a nice time.

I know how to get to the angel st. station (I'd prob just take the 73 bus from oxford circus rather than the tube) so someone just needs to give me a landmark that will clarify which way is north, as in the last thread I was told it's a 5-10 minute walk north from there.

are all the londoners being quiet because they already agreed to this in the previous thread? Or has interest waned?

If you go north, Angel Station is on the right hand side or the street.

I'll be there. I suggest that people have at least one person's mobile number, so here.

mdn: See this map, you need to head North out of the Angel tube stop, the arrow marks the bierodrome. You should be able to figure out your bearings from where the Angel is marked on the map. You should be able to figure out if you're going in the right direction if you pass Duncan street on your right as you walk. You should also be able to make out the fork for Liverpool street fairly easily. On your way to the pub you will need to pass a fire station, a sizeable Royal Mail sorting office (lots of red signs with Royal Mail written on them) and the pub is pretty much opposite the Town Hall, you can always ask for directions if you're stuck.
Sadly I won't be around London so don't be counting me on your list of attendees. Have a good night.

I'm gonna make this one...so if anyone wants a lift from the Windsor/Maidenhead/Slough area.... drop me a note.

Still hoping to be there though I may have passes for Homelands - if so, I'll be dancin'. Will pop along here to let you know if I can make it.

Ha! You say that now mattr ;-)

I will be there from around 8ish. I'm dragging a few friends out as they live nearby & I haven't seen 'em in ages. Might up the female quotient for all of those meetup letches in the US ;-)

I won't be there but wish you all the best. Make sure one of you brings a camera, we want photographic evidence otherwise none of us will believe it happened (and, you know, to satisfy the meetup letches).

On a sidenote, I need flatmates URGENTLY! £85/week, Buckingham Palace Road (zone 1 near Victoria/Sloane Square tube). Let me tell you, that is seriously fucking cheap. Please spread the word.

That's to move in August 1st, btw.

Unfortunately I'm out on the Thames on Saturday for a bit of R&R.

Have a pint for me.

I have acquired a horrible painful ear infection this week and I'm not sure I can make it tomorrow. :(

Have found out that I've got passes for Homelands and the weather's looking fantastic so I'll be dancing my ass off in the countryside. Hope you all have a good time - I'll see you at the next one.

London will never be another New York.

ain't it the truth :). But I'll be there about 8 (prob with my laptop, though not with a camera of any sort... hope someone else can provide that technology)

anyone wavering on the edge of maybe, allow me to make the choice for you: it's a YES, i'm afraid.

I've got a picnic to get to now (isn't life hard) but I'll see you there after 8pm. I'll bring some technology.

Crap, sorry: Have to bow out, have to be in Glasgow this weekend. If anyone's ever up my way I'll buy 'em a pint.

I got caught up at a family thing - and ended up missing this...hope y'all are having a good time.

I knew it Matt! ;-) One day I'll get to buy you a pint for that excellent MeFi Swap CD.

Not that I can be so smug as I had to duck out at the last minute to aid an injured friend back to the south coast...hopefully Pretty_Generic got my phone message...

taz: New York is another Amsterdam. (Think about it.)

well, a few weeks ahead there were dozens of us, but only three of us survived until point zero. One of those was me. One of those was the gentleman whose mobile # you've been given. And then we had one Mystery Guest (who admittedly had a few friends with, so the actual group was technically larger than three), who had a camera phone, and may or may not have gotten some pictures. Lovely beer & not a bad spot, whoever suggested bierodrome, which was none of us present...

Sorry to all of you folks, I've had some issues (namely, being locked out of my flat) so I couldn't attend. Hope to see you really soon anyway.
posted by keijo at 3:51 AM on May 29, 2005

I didn't make it but I was there in spirit. I got a few friends to help out with shoutouts...
