MeFi Meetup Update: Vegas Meetup suffers from lack of attendance. I'd say that what happens in vegas stays in vegas, but in this case it seems nothing happened.

I was damn lucky that I combined it with another, more general meet. There were about ten people there, but I was apparently the only MeFite. If anybody else showed, I guess they missed the rather prominently displayed hat, but I'm not holding my breath.

Perhaps someone else would like to set up a meetup for a week or two from now...Any day you can think of where several MeFites might be in town that aren't locals?

I will be moving back to Vegas mid-July. The only problem is I don't check websites very often when I am there.

I'll be there in late July for Defcon, as presumably so will some other MeFi-types...

I've been to Vegas about a billion times, but it'd be cool to get a local angle on the town.

Dammit. I forgot about DEFCON. I've gone every year for the past 8, and it looks like for the first time the Army may make me miss it.

Well, if anyone will still be in town on Sunday, Jul 31 in the evening, that's the only time I'll be in town, barring a 'mysterious illness or injury' that keeps me away from drill.
