Can we add World Of Warcraft to the list of social apps on the preferences page? I stay in touch with a lot more people through WoW than I do through IM, Facebook, etc. I think just adding it to the dropdown would be adequate. People add their name and server in whatever format they wanted. "Ragma(Windrunner)" or something. posted by y6y6y6 to Feature Requests at 3:51 PM PST - 29 comments
Does Projects work for everything that would be a self-link on MeFi? Or is there a hinterland of things created by friends, relatives and other loved ones that are too self-linky for FPPing, but aren't yours and so can't go in Projects? Are things which fall into this hinterland doomed to fall softly onto the forest floor of the internet, unheard and unseen? Another favoriting discussion. With very many users having hunderds, and some thousands of favorites, it can become unweildy navigating favorites. If they are indeed intended as a bookmarking tool, it would be helpful to be able to tag them so we can find things we intend to come back to in the future. posted by bigmusic to Feature Requests at 1:48 AM PST - 95 comments
The big four-oh, this podcast features recaps from around the site for the last three weeks. It was recorded on April 17th and runs about an hour and ten minutes. [more inside] posted by mathowie to MeFi Podcast at 5:37 PM PST - 40 comments
So earlier this morning I posted something innocuous but inane in an askme thread that had been more or less answered. Just now, logging in, I see that that comment has been disappeared. This is fine, and not particularly worthy of complaint, but I find it sort of annoying that there's no notification or anyway for me to know that the reply was ever made at all. Are favorites broken? I'm trying to add a few this morning and when i click the +, it just sits there saying "adding..." Same in IE and Firefox. Anyone else having this issue? posted by KevinSkomsvold to Bugs at 5:40 AM PST - 67 comments [closed]
Could we have a real documented policy on spoilers, ideally enforced by the people who approve the posts in question?
Is it *really* necessary to approve posts (Warning: multiple "House" spoilers!) that are basically spoilers as read, or that have unwarned *spoiler* links? Perhaps all spoilers should be in the "more inside" section, with a prominent warning in the description field?!
If multiplepeoplearecomplaining that a post basically spoiled the episode, then what's the point of expecting the *spoilers!* or *NSFW* courtesies from posters at all, if no such standards actually exist? posted by markkraft to Etiquette/Policy at 2:53 PM PST - 192 comments
The date format of the sidebar is a bit confusing to non-US readers
4.06.2009 reads as the 4th June to me.
Could it be formatted in a less ambiguous way: 4 Jun 2009 or 2009.06.04 posted by Lanark to Feature Requests at 10:23 AM PST - 58 comments

Why do I have a persistent little white box the same size as profile images, right next to the actual profile images? And why does this same box show up when I try to upload a new profile image? [more inside] posted by scrump to Bugs at 12:19 AM PST - 12 comments
