How do I find someone's user profile? September 26, 2006 12:17 PM   Subscribe

If you do not have access to a post by a MeFite, but nevertheless know that said MeFite is registered, how do you look for and access their userpage and their posting/commenting history? It appears that the search pages simply point to Google/Yahoo search boxes for the site, which do not assist in this particular situation.

To do the payment, you'd have to login, get the "you didn't pay" error, and click on the link to activate it. But nevermind, I set it to paid because you're a good brother.

This charity must stop. He destroys the very fabric of capitalism itself!

Matt, I've been caring for a trio of orphans for the last several years. They're all terribly sick—uncurable diseases, that sort of thing—and the one thing that has sustained them in their unhappy lives is metafilter. They'd like accounts, but we're kind of strapped for cash what with the cost of their medication and the house having burned down last week. Could you help us out?

By the way, their names are "cortex rules", "cortex in the hizzy", and "@>--`-,--'-- from cortex".

This is why I objected to the MeFi Begging site, because of this kind of unseemly kindness. It could catch on, and then where would we be.

And could you autograph these for my three little nieces, all also named Comic Book Guy?

I almost hate to ask, but...if Rikhei didn't pay, how would they login? If you mean WCityMike, how would he get to see Rikhei's login?

O - and that's a very kind thing ya did there matt.

dash_slot-: I presume Rikhei The Unpaid could attempt to login, and would then be presented with a "you have not paid yet, you no loggy loggy" screen containing a pay link.

O. Right. That'll be me being too literal again, then.

Welcome, rikhei! Please proceed down the hall, third door on your left, for your ritual flogging. Nothing personal, we just have to make sure you can deal with what goes on here.
