Cleanup needed

Could Matt or Jess please trim the fat from this thread? Probably a dozen or so comments about the formatting (and the subsequent comments about the comments about the formatting) could be removed.

You know, I have to go with y2karl -- I haven't been hanging around MeTa enough lately to be worried about his axe, and this is a really goddamn huge post.

Some people seem to have misconstrued my intent. I was only concerned with the lame comments littering the thread (for the record). The "more inside" is also nice, though.

Matt, now could you do something about this seven-paragraph post? More inside or consolidate into a single paragraph, whatever works for you, but it's a blight on the front page as is.

can we just call a moratorium on paragraphs and while were at it punctuation and capitals although i think that banning spaces would just be silly and over the line
