Can we submit MeFi slogans? March 21, 2001 4:44 AM   Subscribe

Matt, do you take suggestions for MetaSlogans in the upper corner, or is that solely your doing? I was thinking, "Putting the 'we blog' in 'weblog." Anyone else ever come up with stuff for the Slogans, or am I one of the few that obsessively clicks the refresh button to see them all?

You're not the only one. Perhaps Matt can turn it into some sort of contest, and the winner receives a MeFi hat or shirt or something.

I take suggestions, though very few make it up there. The "we blog" one sounds too much like this one.

thirteen, I love that -- although it makes it sound like we eat them raw. I love sushi, but troll sushi? Pass! Charbroiled is more like it.

How about anagrams?

FETAL MITRE
FILTRATE ME
TRITE FLAME

I suggested a few in the Kottke Kontest. Among them was an MF anagram (CSS added for dramatic impact):

MetaTrifle

I also like METAL FITER.

My favorite was "Kottke.org: Jakob's Law on a stick". Jason didn't use that, I dunno why. Feel free. :)

(Jakob's Law: "Users spend most of their time on other sites.")
