So, was Mefi Boston II more fun than having your alternator die in Berwick during a snowstorm and having to be towed home?

Ugh. Sorry to hear, anastasia.

However, I can confirm that mrs_crash_davis and all three crash_kids are in fact very nice people. JanetLand made it, as did attackthetaxi, putting in extra hours and miles after spending just the night before at the NYC meetup. Oh, and another guy showed up with two friends, but I can't for the life of me remember his handle at the moment. Sorry.

So, while it wasn't a huge fling, we did have a nice meal and pretty good beer, and enjoyed seeing and talking with one another, so yeah, I guess it was more fun than the alternator thing. Sorry, again.

yhbc, thanks for the update. I'm glad it was fun. I really wanted to be there ... I'm really bummed I didn't get to meet the famous Taxi... ah well, perhaps y'all will come up for a MeFe Portland (East) in the spring....

Sorry, McBain! My short-term memory isn't what it once was, apparently. And the only two pictures I brought home were this study of mr_crash_davis with daughter and fancy camera and this tableau of yhbc with attackthetaxi and JanetLand. Like I said, it wasn't a huge croud.

I'm sorry I missed it - no baby yet, but a very pregnant, uncomfortable and grumpy wife who was willing to let me go but clearly appreciated the company.

(and I'd have tipped the crowd to a pro-Yankee majority...)

1. Glad you got back safe, crash. Hope to see you again this summer!

2. In this picture, attackthetaxi was showing me a movie he took the previous evening of chicobangs telling a story at the NYC meetup (which we still haven't seen any pictures of) - I couldn't hear a damn thing, but the man talks with his hands so much, you could pretty much make out the plot on your own.

3. Apparently, I have huge hands. Who knew?
