Not sure if this can be cleaned up... [more inside]

Yet another why was it deleted : repulitards or kids with troubles ?

What's the line between axegrinding (this axegrinding ? or some kind of GodWin rule ? ) which caused the deletion of this post of mine and showing the psycological troubles of bunch of indoctrinated kids that are just parrotting talking points ? It this better and/or acceptable , because it clearly (?) shows a nascar redneck or because he makes fun of Michael Moore, therefore it must be "republitard" BUT it fits under "satire/comedy ?" I tolerate deletion with no problem, and may even accept that I was deemed brutal and deleted, but I would like to understand where the borderline could be, according to you guys.

Univac: a callout

univac doesn't like SEIU president Andy Stern. Fine. But he's pedaling too close to the turfgrass line for my tastes, and the latest article is pretty shaky.

AgendaFilter

Asparagirl's Israeli Civil War? thread is crap. It's admitted AgendaFilter about a topic that has almost no chance of being discussed civilly, and on top of that she attacks (none too coherently) delmoi for linking to her blog.

Opinions, not agenda

I humbly and publicly request a moratorium on referring to opinions as agendas. The linked thread is full of this. Not only does it stifle any sort of honest discussion, debate, or genuine and warranted insulting, it also seems slightly fascistic, Fox News-ish, and embarrassing.

Users are posting to promote their own agendas

"People aren't "filtering" the best and most interesting of the web to bring here, they're grabbing the first thing that happens to be on the web and supports their position, then they bring it here for the sake of furthering their point of view or starting a discussion."

Political commentary is appearing in front page posts

I've noticed a trend of increasingly common political commentary in front page posts. Most recently, some of the links have been to news stories specifically for the purpose of criticizing them. Should we adopt an explicit policy of links on the outside, commentary on the inside?

agenda-filter

This is so lame. I've gotten used to flames on MeFi; its part of what passes for discourse anymore. But this entire post was a predominace of flaming meta-poo. I understand the calls of Agenda-filter, but if people are going to post stuff like "It seems I must speak in language you understand . Go fuck yourself you ill-bred shit." then I think its time we up the ante. If you're going to Meta-bitch, then take it MetaTalk. More importantly, if you're going to Metaflame, do it with half an ounce of couth and style. That appears to be where MetaFilter is headed, so please keep up. (slightly more inside)

having a "point" is a step towards chaos

Actually, posts with "points" are often the ones in most danger of inciting flamefests and being less than appropriate.

Isn't this kind of post better suited to FreeRepublic?
