James Joyce's dirty letters were discussed a long time ago... ...and the link to the letters in that thread is broken. Someone linked me to an intact instance of the letters and I was contemplating an FPP. So, the question is, is it kosher to make a new FPP linking to what is presumably the same content in a new home, especially given the age of the original thread? If not, I guess people looking for dirty letters from James Joyce will have to find them through MeTa.

FSI Languages Site Question

I'd rather not clutter up nickyskye's Mango post with this question, but I've noticed that the FSI Language Course site Vacapinta mentioned in the thread (here, previously) is inaccessible. Does anyone know if the site is down for good? I remember trying to access it when it was first posted as an FPP, and it was down then, too. Could it be a mac or browser issue? I reeeeally want to try it out.

Slashdot has the goods on Amazon trying to give flashbacks to MetaFilter with their new and improved pricing shenanigans in which they deliver two box sets to lots of people for the price of zero, wait a five days (crossing over Christmas in the process), and then demand that people return them unopened. Now they've begun charging people's credit cards for what Amazon decides they should have paid.

As meehawl points out, we've discussed Aphex Twin infinitely. If an old link breaks, is it best to send a message to jessahowie to update it, rather than dredging it back up on the front page?

I run a project called MemoryWiki that collects and archives personal memories. I was wondering if I could repost some short memoirs from MetaFilter, namely, those on "life changing experiences" found here here. I will of course include a note on every memoir I repost stating that the source is Metafilter (and I'll include a hyperlink). MemoryWiki is non-profit (it's really just a hobby). Is this kosher? Thanks.
