When I'm logged out, the link here works correctly (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=misN2jbpo1Y#t=1m05). When I'm logged in, the site has converted the hash to an ampersand (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=misN2jbpo1Y&t=1m05). I imagine this is a bug related to the inline YouTube player.

Chrome for iPad not obeying title size set to 0

I'm logged in and using Chrome on an iPad 3. I have title size set to zero in my preferences. That works on my laptop and elsewhere, but not on my iPad; I see the titles exactly as a non-logged in user would do. which, I'm unable to resist saying, means can't use the site on my iPad, as I hate the titles, they've changed metafilter and not for the better...

Using Chrome on Windows 7 with the deleted posts script installed, the title display seems to be malfunctioning to show the deleted post in between the title and the body of the non-deleted post below it.

Comment inflation in Google Reader

I subscribe to AskMe via Google Reader, and the bottom of each post provides a link to the post. The link reads "X comments on this item," where X is always 1 more than the actual number of comments. Not a huge deal, but something I wonder about ever so often. Bug? Ghosts of comments past? I just added the blue to my feeds as a test, and it looks like the extra phantom comments occur there, too.

The website so nice they headed it twice...er, thrice and a half.

Every once in a while, while reading MeFi on my phone, the heading will freak out. Like this. It does that on the blue and the profile pages, but does this on all the subsites. I don't think I do anything special when it happens, it'll stay for a little while (it stays even if I shut down and restart safari), and then it'll go away again seemingly for no reason. For instance, it was doing it last night for a while when I took the screen shots, but right now it's fine. Just me? Or something you guys should know about?

I know, write it in a word processor, then copy/paste if you don't want to lose it.

Bug (or at least unexpected behaviour): deleting tags sends half-written comments to the aether. I was in the middle up writing a clarification a recent askme, when I realized that one of my tags was misleading. So, I clicked the little [x], with the expectation that some javascript magic would happen, but instead got a page reload and lost three paragraphs of immortal prose. This is certainly an edge case, but it's still probably not the ideal behaviour.

Date Font Bug Small bug - font size for dates in the blue and the green (main and ask) are smaller than the font size for the dates in the teal and the gray (projects and metatalk).

Make it stop. Please, pb, make it stop! When I scroll slowly through MeFi, the background slowly changes from blue to purple. With careful scroll wheel manipulation I can isolate a specific block of grape text, or construct a nice mauvey gradient in the middle of the screen. After highlighting, the text reverts back to blue, resulting in pleasing stripes. This only happens on the blue, when I scroll very slowly. Perhaps it has something to do with this? Unfortunately, there is no longer a "make it stop" link. I'm using Chrome on OSX 10.5.

Preview bug lite

I discovered just now that closing an <a> tag with an </i> tag looks correct in preview but blows up in the actual comment. I'm also afraid to post this, using entities that look right in the preview, but are surely conspiring right now make me look foolish. I also searched, but if this is a known issue, or "who cares don't abuse the poor html like that", etc. a thousand pardons.

Bug (or feature?): The "mark question resolved" button on the "confirm resolved" page on Ask Me pops a new tab, where it probably should use the same tab, as you don't need the question anymore. (Also, on the MetaTalk preview, it says use the back button to tweak the form, when you don't need to, as the form lives down below. Which is where I'm typing this in. Alright I'll shut up and stop causing pb more work.)

Music player won't pop

Popping out the Music player doesn't seem to work anymore. Hitting the "pop out" link opens a new window with the Metafilter error page. Running Firefox 10.0.2, Windows 7.

Bug Report: favorites from username (example, look for the comment on "September 10, 2011") uses old(? non-sprite anyways) best answer tick image which goes to http://images.metafilter.com/mefi/icons/tick.png and currently returns a 500 internal server error.

iPhone and the back button

Occasionally, when I use the "back" arrow on my iPhone 4s to return to the main page of one of the subsites, it brings me to a much older version of that page, rather than the version I was just visiting. Why? How do I stop this from happening?

Contact Activity Clock Issues?

Is there something wrong with the timestamps on Contact Activity? I noticed after the New Year that all of the timestamps on my Contact Activity sidebar had been set to "over 18 hours ago", which, while literally true, isn't really very helpful. I figured it was just my computer at home, but I also see it on my work computer, so that's probably out, especially since I use Firefox at work and Chrome at home (both in Windows 7, though). I've deleted cookies/logged out and back in/changed the time settings on my MetaFilter preferences/hard refreshed. This is obviously not a big deal, but I'm wondering if something got reset by the new year.

Opera javascript bug

Clicking "Favorite" brings up a javascript error message in Opera. Is this a known bug with a known fix? This happens on FPPs, in the comment threads, and elsewhere, both with Opera 11.52 and the Opera Next 12 Alpha. The popup says:

Javascript www.metafilter.com The page is still loading, please wait to add favorites.

The page is fully loaded, and waiting for several minutes makes no difference.

Cannot remove deleted threads from recent activity.

Bug, or just me? Cannot remove deleted threads from recent activity. So, is it just me? All the pretty fade-away stuff works, but then I go back to recent activity and the deleted thread is back. Chrome on Win7 FWIW.

MeFi RSS feed is invalid

My RSS reader says the MetaFilter RSS feed is invalid. I'd really like to use it because I've become RSS oriented and I'm not checking MeFi. It could be a problem with the RSS reader, Thunderbird 2.0.24 (I know there are other readers, but TB uniquely meets my needs), but the MeFi feed has worked previously and the AskMefi RSS feed works currently. I've tried the feeds coming from the feed.feedburner.com host and the one from feed2.. Thanks in advance.

What's up with these javascript errors I just started getting on mefi? I often end up idly pounding on alt. Like "I'm gonna hit alt-tab and get back to work! Naaaaah." Well, today, metafilter started giving me a javascript error when I did that. It hasn't done that before. In fact, it puts up a new javascript error every time I strike any key. I'm in Firefox 3.6.16 from Ubuntu. Disappeared into the Blue

Atlantis post vanished from the Blue? I'm running the Deleted Posts script, and I can see other deleted posts, but this one seems to have just disappeared. So there was a post about scientists discovering the Lost City of Atlantis up on the Blue a little while ago, I guess it was posted somewhere between 8 and 9AM CST. It was probably quite silly as posts about this topic tend to be, but I figured I'd check it out in a little bit, just for the debunking, if it hadn't been deleted. Lo and behold I refresh my browser and it's gone! Which would be perfectly normal, except that I'm running the Deleted Posts Greasemonkey script, which normally lets me see deleted posts. I can see other deleted posts (like this unusual non-banning self-link and this thin post about a cat that looks like Hitler. But not the Atlantis post. So, I guess what I'm asking is, what gives? Is this some sort of arcane policy decision at work? I'm guessing it's more like a glitch of some kind. Anyway, I'm curious as to what went down there.

The My Comments page isn't showing the number of new comments anymore. Maybe it's just a weird glitch for me, for some reason starting this afternoon, the My Comments page shows threads I've commented in, but not how many posts have been made in that thread since I last looked at it. Was this a deliberate removal of what was a very convenient feature, or did something just bug out somewhere?

empty hrefs in recent activity

When viewing the recent posts to this (excellent) thread on my recent activity the links to Heyfourfour's video and slides are replaced with empty href's. I think it is because they have fairly rare file extensions. Maybe I could have just poked PB, instead of making this thread, but then we wouldn't be able to watch him fix it and then go, "Holy moly PB! You rule!"

viewing job from profile removes formatting

I've just posted my availability in Jobs and it seems that when I go to view the ad from my profile, the formatting of my post seems to have disappeared. Have tried this on Safari and Firefox, and I'm running Snow Leopard. Also, when one tries to search Jobs whilst logged out, it tries to get you to log in. This, however, could be a feature. I probably should have put a TLDR on my jobs posting! What a wall of text!

Minor Bug: Under Popular Favorites, it says that the Mystery Science Theater post had 90 favorites. If you click on the favorites, it lists 153. If I recall correctly, it was accurate yesterday. That's about it, and pleasedontletthisbeadiscussionaboutfavorites. Thanks!
