I disagree with this deletion. I think the subject would have deserved a thread of its own, as it wasn't just another story about the movement, it was an interesting piece on its own right. [more inside]

Deleting a thread on Loudsauce as 'advertising' seems off kilter.
I've put off posting about the service because its founder is a friend and I participate heavily in several campaigns - but I would totally rank it as 'best of the Web'

How does deletedthread.blogspot.com work? Do the mods update it manually, or is it somehow automated? If the latter, how long does it take for a deleted thread to pop up over there?

There was a list in the last few weeks of a bunch of weird places to get christmas gifts. One was the american science supply and the author commented that a similar list was put up last year. Searching metafilter and ask metafilter has proven fruitless. Can someone get me back to the post? thanks.
Deletion Stats?
I'm an avid reader of Puke & Cry's Deleted Thread blog, and it got me wondering: Do any of the admins have stats on the most posts deleted in one day? Or, the most doubles (i.e. the most posts on one topic that were deleted - I'm guessing it must be an obituary post, maybe James Brown)? Or, the longest time span without a deletion? Etc.

Note: The deleted post of mine was supposed to be saved as a draft...I didn't mean to publish it on my own site. I've just found cutting and pasting code is easier than typing it (blogger to mefi). If you note, I've re-drafted it, and as it is a relavent and news-worthy topic, would like to see it reposted.
