Behind the scenes, we've been thinking about what the 100,000th user on MeFi would mean, and how we could commemorate it, so I'm floating our idea here... [more inside]

Remember airnxtz? He's the dude who came to AskMefi to help plan his eventual EBay scams. The thread is a must read if you haven't already been.
Here's the thing.. it's missing an ending! I want more! But where the hell should I post it? What more can be done? We did so much... to end up signifying nothing. :(

Tag conveniently gone missing?. Like many others, I've been following the askme thread originally posted by airnxtz where he is found to be a scammer and where hopefully we will soon have word about the consequences of his scamming. Normally I search for this thread by looking at the "all posts tagged ebay", but the question is no longer listed on that page. In fact once I found the question, I see that it no longer has the ebay tag or any other tag. I assume that though airnxtz has lost his posting privileges, he still has the privilege to edit his own tags and has done so. Otherwise, what happened to the tag and can we get it back?

can anyone clarify what's happening here? seems like some mefi detective work might either shed some light on things, or clear the poster's name; i'm not sure browbeating him with false dichotomies is working.

I believe the oppurtunity has finally come for all MeFites to show their appreciation for Matt's efforts in keeping this community running.
And no, I'm not kidding either.

what is with the recent spate of threads about 'zany' ebay auctions? it's not like there's a shortage of other, more appropriate venues. can/should something be done to curtail this practice before it becomes a daily occurrence?
