This AskMe thread on helping the homeless really hit me hard. It's been talked about before, and personally, I'm still trying to figure out the best course of action. But a good question, and good answers. And allkindsoftime's response was beautiful. Favorited and favorited. I say: sidebar worthy.

Well, askme got served with a doozy tonight and I think it's safe to say it didn't go well. It's not just the completely awful legal advice being dispensed, or the attempt to frame this question as a solely moral one that disturbed me, but the seeming justification of murder (and referencing religion to reason away that murder) that made me shudder.

Anyone else getting spammed by some homeless guy to post his site as a mefi link? "I'd do it myself, but matt isn't taking new members right now."

If they guy had bothered to cut-and-paste more detail, I might have considered it ... maybe.

im not happy with the fpp treating the homeless as though they were vermin. out of order.
