I've given up on trying to Google this. Can anyone link me to that MeFi post about a science-fiction audioplay made by one guy in the 70's or 80's? The post was also about it being re-released.
Some years ago (2007-10, I'd guess) there was a post to the Blue which linked to a dissertation. The dissertation was non-linear and the reader would choose the next part of the dissertation to read, and while that was happening, the dissertation wrote itself. Each part of the dissertation was in a little box, and the reader would choose which part to read by clicking on a box next to an already read box. I remember a black background with yellow boxes.
Does anyone remember a post (from the past year or so, I think) about some digital art that was made by taking (pixel-wide?) slices of video and sort of "painting" with it? [more inside]
I'm looking for a video posted to the blue a while back. My Google-fu is weak. [more inside]
I'm looking for a train video. [more inside]
Help me find a MeFi post, please! I think it was posted in the last week. [more inside]
Losin mah mind. Looking for a post about British couples living anachronistically as though they were residents of the 1930s, 40s, 50s, and 60s. [more inside]
WhatWasThatPostFilter: Maybe a year or so ago, somebody posted a link on the blue to a grainy video of what seemed to be pretty violent interrogation. Screamed "viral video", and, as far as I can remember, was derided as such in the thread comments, and maybe even deleted. Anyone remember it? And if so, did anything come of it?
A long while ago, when there were Textads that people could purchase down the right hand side of the front page, somebody here had taken out an ad and had a wonderful site which would generate a picture of a graph based on the information available in The Hacker's Diet. The website is long gone now but I wonder if I could either get the code for the site or if somebody could direct me to something to generate a picture dynamically to put on my blog? The site in question was www.weighttrends.com or maybe just one "t" www.weightrends.com .
