The mystical calculations and dire sacrifices have been made. As foretold by Mad Seer Wendell, there shall be a strange and wondrous confluence of mods in the Cambridge, MA on April 26th for a dread convocation. Surely we mere mortals may appease these inscrutable powers by drinking and feasting in their honor! The Stars Are Right, my friends, and you too shall be Right if you arrive at the Cambridge Brewing Company from 7PM to help toast our weary mods after they finish with their horrible rites! The Cambridge Brewing Company is but a hop, skip, and a slither away from the Kendall Square T. It is also located around the corner from one of those dens of sin and pleasure known as a pool hall should brave souls wish to place their very souls in danger. The brave and the bold, the curious and the fearless are all invited to attend. But, hearty soul, please speak thy name here that I may have a proper accounting for Dread Reservator, toothed gatekeeper of beer and entertainment.

Western Massachusetts meetup, Saturday, April 5! Come to the Pioneer Valley and enjoy food, drink, and excellent company: Jessamyn and languagehat are expected to attend. Will you? Starting earlier is probably better here amidst the Five Colleges. I propose 6pm at The Dirty Truth, a small Northampton bar with an excellent beer list and a small but good menu. Maybe later we can get ice cream at Herrell's! If we have a larger group we can look elsewhere in Northampton, or across the river in Amherst. I hope to see you there!

New England Meetup 2002

Back in early April (perhaps not coincidentally, when the weather was warming up nicely), we discussed the possibility of having a first-ever New England MeFi gathering. There was some enthusiastic response, and crankyrobot, I believe, was even going to look into getting Red Sox tickets.

Within a week (again, perhaps not coincidentally, when the weather crapped out again), interest had sunk like a stone. Now that it's May, and the New Yorkers have had their little get-together, is there now any interest in reviving the topic? (The weather is nice again, and the Sox are still winning!)
