This is a terrible, axe-grinding, (self-admitted) newsfilter post with editorializing in both the text of the post and the tags.

Axegrindfilter.
"Hey, my monthly political hobbyhorse is recurring! C'mon guys, it's important!"
If we have to play with the "party" as metaphor, I throw the relentless proslytizers out before I bother with folks who call each other bad names.

Thread 50250 should be used to indict, convict, and ban several Members for a grotesque lack of civility in the ad homonym realm.

"Criminal incompetence is probably not an impeachable offense, but something has to be done about Bush." Please keep your politics out of Ask Metafilter
questions. (And
another.) It tends to attract the wrong kind of answers.

Could we just get it over with and delete
this childish tit for tat response?

Consistency in standards, and the lack thereof. Since the election, MeFi has gotten a lot calmer, and a lot more readable. Much of these is surely do to the deletion of highly partisan comments and threads, but it seems like some people aren't getting the message. Snarky FPPs like
this provoke obnoxious replies like part 3 of
this.
Is there a viable way to confine this crap to the political threads?

I'm not trying to make a personal callout, nor am I Chicken Littling, but I wonder if
this thread is of the more interesting variety of political threads, or if it is more of a simple "gotcha." For those who don't think that all politics FPP's are necessarily noise, is
this thread signal?

Can we please
make it stop? It's bad enough that we really want a 100+ post thread about same sex marriage every day. Do we have to drag it into AskMe?

Hi, Jack. Just because it's
"another Coulter thread" doesn't mean raysmj ought to piss all over it with his off-topic opinions on proper journalistic style. How many other threads have been similarly derailed by snarks on the writing style or site design of the linked page?

Groan. Please. Stop.
Maybe we can set up a litterbox someplace where the concerned parties can fling the usual turds at each other till their batteries run down. These FPPs don't even seem to be conducive to discussion anymore. Agree to disagree already.

Bushtard? I'm not a fan of Bush, but this is
really getting old. Any suggestions for how to discourage this method of posting?

Ideology versus Scalability; Conservative versus Liberal; Kant's Categorical Imperatives versus the Scottish "Common Sense" philosophers; Yanks versus Brits; Democrats versus Republicans; Kudos from Sardine; and startling Mefi Demographic information!
