did you create Front Page Post(s) on MetaFilter? The motivations are interesting in themselves, and may also provide positive reasons for people to cross the rubicon from lurker to poster

Although cortex callously and without hesitation deleted my fabulous single link youtube front page post, I still see it, albeit with a re: sidebar.
Is this a feature?

Feature request: Some visual way to easily tell where the original poster has posted a follow-up comment. Often in reading an Ask MeFi question, I have to scroll back up and down a few times to get the name of the original poster and then do a search to see if they posted a follow-up.
Perhaps a different color for the original poster? It works well for comments marked "best answer". (Oh - and a pony)

Sometimes, if it's late enough, even the best amongst us gets cranky
-- while I would never suggest emoticons outright, some kind of 'poster mood indicator' might smooth out a lot of misunderstandings and help MeFi in it's scale up problems.
