I’m looking for an article that was previously linked (I think on the green, but could have been the blue). It had tips on how to get the most out of meetings - one of the bits of advice was for the chair at the beginning effectively to say what order she would call on attendees to speak. The benefits of this included that people didn’t spend their time just waiting to interrupt, and also ensured that the meeting wasn’t dominated by the usual suspects. I think the context for this may have making sure that otherwise marginalised voices get heard - but it may also have just been straightforward good meeting etiquette. Can anyone link me to this? I don't wish to breach protocol.

I found a great page that has been posted on another high profile community. That page is a .swf image I wish to print in a large size. I had planned on posting on Askme on how to do this.

I also find the image cool (and informative) enough that I thought it would be great material for The Blue-though I have reservations about posting it on both pages. Additionally this page was just shown on digg.com, so it may be old hat anyway.

So--any thoughts?

I hope this isn't a stupid question, and I have checked the FAQ, but.... is there any polite way to ask for help locating a link that was posted in the comments of a thread? I remember reading the link, but not the original thread it was in, and would like to return to the link to print it and use in class. Is there some way to ask the general readership to help me find the thread? I have Googled, I have searched MetaFilter....no avail. Sorry if this is silly.

at the emailed advice of a fellow mefier, i need to say something to all of you. no, this isn't a stunt for attention, or yet another thread to stir it with a stick...he tells me that my entry back into mefi has been rude, and he questioned why i did it the way I did. when I told him, he said i should tell the rest of you . more inside...
