Music pony requests: Add date posted for each track in Most (Favorited|Playlisted) Tracks of All Time and increase the length of these lists. The 'Most' lists are great, but I've already listened to most of those tracks (they're mostly older). Few tracks are going to get favorited more than the current lowest-number-of-favorites track, which has 50 favorites. SO THE PONIES: (1) more tracks so newer things can show up on that list (2) dates so it's easier to find the new stuff.

So I posted a double of the awesome wedding dance, and now I have a pony request that might be useful. I know, I know, it's still on the front page, which I discovered after the fact...I haven't been on the site much lately and was in a bit of a rush. My searches didn't result in any hits, nor did the preview feature find my link. Herein lies the problem. I was referred to the youtube video from another site, and that site added some referrer info to the url which I didn't notice until after everyone cried "double." I am far less than web-savvy, but would it be possible to add something to the mefi search that could lop off the "&eurl" code, and check that url against what's been posted? Everything before the code is identical to the original post's link, and presumably would've resulted in the posting page telling me that I'm blind and doubleposting.

Tanks for the new server. Can we see a picture of it? In the true spirit of childlike curiosity combined with a let's-acknowledge-things-that-we-take-for-grantedness...can I see a picture of the metafilter server? Or am I being dense and it's actually hosted by some company far-off? It makes me wonder about what google servers actually look like, or any other site I visit regularly for that matter.

Help me find an old Mefi post. Hours of searching the archives has been fruitless! I remember a post regarding a series of photographs of perhaps China, Korea, Cambodia or some other Asian country which depicts people living in tiny 50 square foot studios (I don't remember the exact number). The pictures (there were dozens) all showed the residents sitting in the middle of these incredibly cramped single rooms, with their entire lives all around them. I think it was China, but I have been searching through the MeFi archives and am exhausted. Someone out there must remember these photos and can help me find them again! I'm 99.9% sure I saw this on the MeFi blue, but it was a while ago, perhaps a year or more. I don't remember if it was a single photographer or just a compilation of common photographs. I can't imagine the post was deleted.

Category request: Fitness Would it make sense to add this as a new category within ask.metafilter? I see 3-4 fitness questions a day, and they are always split between the health, sports, hobbies, & recreation, and grab bag. It can be hard to track down these questions, and not everybody tags questions correctly

This is just a gentle request for posters of RelationshipFilter -- please use names, even made up ones, instead of letters. I understand the need to anonymize questions, but I'd like to ask that people use fake names instead of letters when doing so. "I'll call her A, and him K and the girl they picked up at the bar for a threesome who turned out to be a triple-breasted whore from Eroticon Six E" makes for posts that are much harder to follow than if you'd named them April, Kevin and Eccentrica. There's something about names -- they give a clue as to gender so help with the 'wait, was K the boyfriend or was E the boyfriend and K the whore of unusual breasts?' and they're something we're mentally prepared to remember -- that just makes it a lot easier to follow through long relationship filter posts than a slew of capital letters.

Pony situation report request. I was thinking that the My Comments feature could use some tweaking, and lo and behold, someone beat me to it. So I was just wondering what became of stavros' great suggestion? I searched, and couldn't find any updates. And my My Comments hasn't been changed, so I assume there's been no news.

Hey can someone kill my thread? Not to be a pain, but it went over like an anvil. I don't particularly want to debate methods of incarceration or whatever, and all it's going to do is engender ill will. Tonally, it's not even vaguely appropriate for a real discussion of incarceration and public safety. As thus, any chance to get it expunged?

I'd like to see a place where users can submit FPP requests to the general MeFi populace, and where users can respond at their will to said requests. I enjoy learning about subjects through MeFi FPP's and their threads. It feels much more dynamic than just reading a Wiki page or just netscouring myself. MeFites take me to unexpected places, which is something I've really cherished about MeFi. I can see where a Pony like this can be construed as more of a "wanting to steer" than "going with the Me-Fi-Flow," but I find that even where the subject matter is something I think I know, you lot always surprise me in opening another door, another window to let the soft scent of the neighbor's fabric softener in. So, say, I think to myself upon writing that, "I'd like to see an FPP of cool-ass 1970's or 1980's commercial product iconography,"* and I could post it somewhere, I bet someone out there would totally pick up the ball and run with it, all MeFi-style, dodgin' tight ends and snarky comments, going... all... the... way...! And I'd be all, like, in the bleachers goin' YEAH!! with about a dozen to maybe a couple hundred others. That star could be YOU!! *Simulated FPP request on closed course by professional driver.

I tried to gift a membership to a minor internet celebrity, but I got the message "It appears your friend already has an account, as this email address is in use". Really? That's cool -- now who is it? Can there be a way of entering in an address and getting a username back, so I can add that account to my contacts?

Since this is asynchronous, we can't rely on our interlocutory skills to get you to wrap it up, so try to be brief. The call-in shows can be LONG so we may edit for length and/or not play all comments/questions. Also, the call-in show isn't really a good place for gripes or WTFishness, that sort of thing still works better here in MeTa or email.

So despite reading the MeFi Wiki and crunchland's profile, I managed to screw up my FPP ( this one ) and it now appears on the home page without a title. Would one of the admins be kind enough to correct the link title of the post? You may also suggest suitable means of atonement for this extremely n00b-ish screwup.

Possible FPP for somebody? I don't feel quite up to making a good FPP out of this, nor do I want to "clutter" the Blue with a one-link "newsfilter" item. But I do think that this smacks of an underhanded attempt to restore involuntary servitude, especially given the booming prison population thanks to harsh drugs laws etc. (I also wonder why the damn "farmers" can't simply put Help Wanted ads in the paper; they are willing to pay a decent wage to get their crops tended, right?)

My first-ever pony request: In a given thread, what about a link next to each member's individual comments, that is titled "see all comments by this member in this thread." So, say, I want to see all of mathowie's comments in a particular thread, I click on that link and it gives me a page with just mathowie's comments in that thread. I know you can see all of a member's comments by going to their user page, but it's kind of cumbersome to click back and forth and you can't view all the comments together. It would be nice to have them all thrown up on one page. It would help us evaluate the position or argument that the person is developing throughout the thread.

Is MeFi protected against CSRF? I know the logout link isn't (should be a form button anyway) and could be triggered by displaying an image to a MeFi user, but if the forms are vulnerable things could get nasty (imagine someone posting a link that changes your prefs, or makes you create a post, etc.). Just askin'...

Can we request posts to be made by other people?

Just a thought....in what location could we put blue requests? Ie. if I wanted someone to make an excellent post about something or someone I had interest in, but I don't have the expertise or the time, where would such a request be made?
