Dear Metafilter- I was an ass a while back, over here. It still bugs me. Every now and then I consider asking a mod to delete it for me, but I know that's not the preferred Metafiltery way of doing things. So it's just going to keep on bugging me, and I'll have to deal with that. But I'm sorry. (Fake, especially you, buddy. Sorry man.)

I figured maybe I had just created a slogan. Then I googled it.

Apology owed. I came up with a turn of phrase I liked, and happily noted that it had been marked as a favorite by 3 others.

Turns out it's been said before, which is fine. It's not particularly profound--any reasonably geeky person discussing this issue might use the phrase. But it's even been said on AskMe before.

Apologies to Teece, and those who saved it.

I feel as though I may have erred by posting this. After having a good look around the site in question, I decided that whilst there was much 'subscription only' content, there was enough free content to warrant a post to the front page. A number of people have disagreed in-thread, claiming that the page is essentially spam. So I'm calling myself out, so that if the mods decide that it is, infact, spam, they can delete it ASAP.

I ended up getting some slack on my comment toward Noah Grey for his self-linking within the referred mefi thread. I apologize if I stepped out of bounds in calling Noah on his self-linking. mathowie, I think you do need to make guidelines in self-linking (as well as members policing metafilter) a bit more clear. I had previously thought that self-linking is a offense all around while I guess it was just limited to the main page logging.
