Watch Mad Men in vintage style in Tucson, Sunday evenings?

Now that Season 3 of Mad Men has begun, I'm seeking a way to watch it weekly, and it occurred to me that we Tucson MeFites have an especially stylish way to do so.... ... in The Shelter Cocktail Lounge. It's decorated in vintage JFK memorabilia, to give you a shorthand to the vibe there. Would anyone be interested in meeting 10pm Sunday nights to watch an episode and drink a vodka gimlet?

How about a real policy on spoilers?

Could we have a real documented policy on spoilers, ideally enforced by the people who approve the posts in question? Is it *really* necessary to approve posts (Warning: multiple "House" spoilers!) that are basically spoilers as read, or that have unwarned *spoiler* links? Perhaps all spoilers should be in the "more inside" section, with a prominent warning in the description field?! If multiple people are complaining that a post basically spoiled the episode, then what's the point of expecting the *spoilers!* or *NSFW* courtesies from posters at all, if no such standards actually exist?

Jane Austin Gathering A few weeks ago there was an Austin meetup to catch an episode of Mythbusters. Anyone up for a PBS Jane Austen meetup? Dates are 1/13 for "Persuasion", 1/20 for "Northanger Abbey", and 1/27 for "Mansfield Park". The biggest obstacle would be finding a bar that would let us watch PBS at 9pm on a Sunday.

Television watching survey?

As an informal survey of the bizarre demographic which is Metafilter:

Television.

How many hours a day (if any) do you watch and has it increased in the past year? Or declined? I have a sense that there is an undercurrent of rebellion against TV watching, but I'm a longstanding non-TV watcher. Am I off base or not?

Do we really need to discuss Survivor, Big Brother, The Real World, etc. on Metafilter? Two links in as many days about this stuff makes me cringe. It's bad enough hearing people talk about these shows everywhere you go, does this community need to "go there" as well?
