Vote history username bug

A bug in Projects: clicking on the usernames in someone's vote history leads to a 404 every time.

PonyUpdate Request: The "Also On..." section of user profiles should allow you to link to your fancy new Facebook username. I just updated my social networks on my profile by adding my Twitter username, but while I was there, I thought I'd change my Facebook link to my new username. I was told that my change caused an error, and I don't know what profile number I just deleted. Can one of the admins figure out a way to link to Facebook profiles by using the username?

Search favorites by user name?

Can we search our favorites by user name? If not, can we get that feature added? So I'm searching through My Favorite Comments for a comment made by a particular user and I'm getting nothing. However, if their name is mentioned in the comment, then it's found. Anyway we can search for comments made by the actual user?

username search function

On the change to the search function re: usernames... It used to be one could search for comments by people using the username and something from the comment, i.e., to find the quote about hamsters by weirdo9, you would search for "weirdo9" and "hamsters" and voila, multiple options would come up.

Now only those options come up where someone has responded, "weirdo9, your thoughts on hamsters intrigue me..." - that is, the username no longer seems to be included in the search (as confirmed here).

Is there any plan to fix this? It was very useful to be able to look up a particular comment this way, as well as to browse what so-and-so has said about topic X over the years.

Want usernames spelled out

It would be nice if one's username pointed to the spelled-out version somewhere on the front page—maybe on the upper right—so it could be easily found. It's useful for typing in other users' names when you want to see what they've been up to.
Can I change my username on MeFi?

Chameleon-Pony Request: Can I change my username on MeFi, or would it forever ruin the MeFi/google/other balance and you'd prefer I don't?

I really don't use this username like... anywhere anymore... I've been around MeFi for a few years now I think, and even back when I registered I was considering ditching this dumb nickname.

Aside from recent weeks where I've been AskMeFi crazy, I've been lurk-ish enough that I highly doubt anyone has any real association with my name (I'm not like ParisParamus, for example) so I don't think it would throw anyone off, really.

Suggestion for a small format change: how about putting the byline on top of the comment in discussion threads? This would allow us to efficiently skip comments from users we don't want to hear from without resorting to user killfiles, and without wasting precious seconds of I'm-surfing-at-work-and-I-really-shouldn't-be-doing-this time to realize that this is a comment from that guy. Having the byline at the top would save a bit of scrolling and skimming, since you'd know what you're getting into right from the start. Also, some MeFites are "must-reads" for me and I'd like to make sure I don't blow past them.

I keep a bookmark that ends in the spelled-out version of my username so that I can go to it and type out other users' names at the end if I don't know their user number. Tonight, going to it to find some other user's page, it took me to the page with the URL ending in my user number rather than the word "interrobang".

In the past couple of days, I've also "moused" over other people's names to see who they were--mainly in ask metafilter--and gotten the URL ending in the name spelled out rather than the number. Is this because the standard is soon going to be user pages with URLs ending in names, rather than numbers?

I am an idiot and misspelled my user name. I ignored it first and now it is really bothering me. I need to add another L in the middle, it should be Woollcott'sKindredGal. Any idea how I can fix this without being a pain in the ass to Matt?
