The youtube video in this FPP is not available in my country (Canada) due to copyright restrictions. I've watched it before and would like to watch it again. Can someone either point me to it somewhere else online where it might work (maybe on youtube at another account), or at least tell me the proper title or some info I can use to search myself? Folo-up: In 2005 I posted the trailer for a documentary about the legendary SoCal band The Beat Farmers. Due to licensing issues *cough* Letterman clip *cough* the DVD has never been released, despite pleading from fans...until now. Director Jamie Dawson just put the whole thing on YouTube in 9 parts (about 8 mins. each) plus coda. YT Playlist here.

I finally fixed this, I gussied up the preferences page (more readable, easier to use), and I added inline magical youtube video streaming, which mostly works (enable it then click the icons you see on posts). Full explanation of the YouTube feature.

Why the need to type (YouTube) next to the link in a post that goes to YouTube? I don't care if your post links to YouTube, and since you posted it, neither should you. Following that logic, wouldn't we need to put (Txt File) next to links that go to pages of text, for example? YouTube seems to be a fully accepted internet format and as such does it need special deliniation? (say, unlike 'Flash")

I run a Greasemonkey script that highlights "heavy links" - links such a Youtube or .mov that might take a while to download.

Should this script action be incorporated into the meta universe?

Proper etiquitte is to flag such heavy links but if you Firefox users install this script and say look at posts tagged with video, you will see many examples of posters who bother to tag their posts but don't flag their links. Then there are many who don’t tag or flag.

Even if you don't support such highlighting at the site (It will just make people lazy), how are my filters? What else do I need to include? [jeez, trying to get the below to display properly was very trying]
