NYC Meetup Reminder: Tonight (12/22), starting at 6 p.m., at 151. Cross your fingers, kid- looks like we could be celebrating the end of the transit strike ::knock on wood::
oh, that's exciting! I hadn't caught any news since leaving the house so didn't know things were looking up. I was gonna post to see if anyone could drive me home if I stopped by the meet-up, because otherwise I wasn't sure I could stay that late in town... (if trains aren't running yet, would anyone be heading williamsburg-ish afterward?)
I won't be able to get there until later, though - 8 or9. Is the plan to still be at 151 at that hour?

hackly, i don't know about that--the union loses leverage by going back to work without a signed deal in their hands. It takes all the impetus to really compromise away.

Dorian and crack are on their way to my house (which is so obscenely nice, since they're coming over the bridge to get me, then turning back to go over again), so we'll be seeing you all. Though I thought moving away from OC got me out of carpooling.

tonight for me it's frozen fish chased dowmn with the usual big glass of seawater (sparkling, tastes a bit like a tangy Pellegrino), squid chocolate mousse for dessert. maybe I'll drink a glass of krill beer to toast my New York friends.

Oooo, looks like I get to be the first person to post post-meetup in this thread. As usual, you all fucking ROCK. Many pictures were taken, on both digital and polaroid film. I imagine some of the digital ones will be posted later. As for me, I must now collapse.
