RSS comment count? September 28, 2009 4:44 AM   Subscribe

Since yesterday, I haven't been seeing the comment count in the RSS feeds anymore. I've tried in the main metafilter feed and in the popular posts feed. Is it a bug, an oversight, a suppressed pony? Is it just me? Thanks for listening.

I still see it for some comments, but I've always found it to be so inaccurate as to be useless.

It works by linking to an image of the comment count (like this). Some are just empty images, probably an issue with FeedBurner.

Yeah, this feature is handled entirely by FeedBurner. We don't have much control of it from this end. Their extra features like this seem to come and go at times. As I load the MetaFilter feed now in the browser, I see the comment counts. So I'm guessing it was just a hiccup on the FeedBurner side.

Are you running Firefox? Are you running Adblock plus?

Yea, they reappeared. Just a quick panic. Crisis averted. Thanks, MeTa!
