MeFi Liveblogging 2010 Year in Review! Please share your favorite (or not so favorite but memorable) posts to MetaFilter from last year that were about events unfolding live in real-time.

Mine has to be the Wimbledon Deathmatch. Mainly, because, well, I can't recall any others.

Both are more discussion than live updates, but this is what I got through the list of favourite posts of the past 30 days: posted by rjs at 4:43 AM on January 2, 2011

I was thinking of balloon boy as well, but that was 2009. Wasn't there something about the volcano, though?

We also had Steven Slater, which died with more of a whimper than Balloon Boy's reality-show-self-destruct bang.

Oops. I meant "late" in the MeFi only sense, of course. Sorry for panicking people unneccesarily.

And the posts in the live blogging metatopic have finally ground to an inevitable halt. Wait! There's one more, after two long days! Perhaps there's still hope.

Yahoo shutting down delicious had a lot of people making plans for what they'd do next in-thread in a sort of realtime way.
