I can't post to AskMe. April 7, 2004 6:11 PM   Subscribe

I can't post to AskMe. On preview, the textbox displays lot of HTML code. Hitting 'Preview' or "Post' at this point leads to "User Name undefined in element form" or some such. Log-out -> log-in doesn't help.

Err, the postpreview preview/post error is "Element USER_NAME is undefined in form".

Just for closure, it's solved.

This happens to me sometimes too.
I think it's a firefox issue.
Pressing the Back button brings up your original comment with some weird HTML attached to the end. (This html comes from the page; includes for example the text (c) 2000-2003 The Metafilter Network.
Closing Firefox down and starting it up again seems to solve the problem.

I can't log in to ask.metafilter at all with Firebird. I allow askMefi cookies. I use Mac X jaguar and when I log in i get bounced back to the front ask page, but no nice 'post comment' box in the threads themselves, only just noticed as I was trying to post an answer.. Hmmm... If I use Safari everything works fine. Just letting the Chief know it's seems to affect only fireX browsers... ;)
