Hi all! I've booked a table for eight at Ranchu from seven tomorrow. Early birds are also meeting a bit before between 5.30 and 6 at the Hachiko statue outside Shibuya Station.

After looking through their party plans I took the liberty of booking a nomihodai (all you can drink) course menu for Y4000 a pop. It's about six dishes and beer, wine, and some cocktails which runs from 7 p.m to 9 p.m sharp when they cut off our supply so perhaps arriving 10 minutes early might be wise.

I'm not quite sure about the exact numbers but I booked it for eight people. If you could raise your hand in this thread to say you'll be there that will help. If more than eight people are coming I will call ahead tomorrow afternoon and increase the booking number so they can truckload in more food and drink.

Because it's a set course thing, please either raise your voice here and come along at 7 p.m for the all-you-can-drink and nice food OR turn up at nine for the inevitable afterparty. The nomihodai system punishes the tardy so don't be late!

Previous reminder thread here. I'm in, and bringing a friend. Thanks, dydecker! And we might not make it on time to Hachiko, so please go on ahead if we don't show up, we'll just head on over to Ranchu.

I'm in, and so is saketini99. Looks like both of us will be at Hachiko by 7:00, so perhaps we'd best plan on meeting up with you all at Ran-chu.

I'll check the deluded dog first, though.

So, there's already nine of us already, including amberglow, bunglin jones and sconbie (who probably don't have computer access at the moment). gen said in the other reminder thread that he might show up, so that's ten. Anyone else?

hrm. not sure. I am swamped, swamped with work but I do want to stop by and say hi. I think I can do so before 9 but I won't join the event from 7.

Too bad, gen, we were expecting ya! Maybe next time. ...Tho' the majority of the people who were there will be in different countries by the time we plan the next meet up...

I wish I could have stayed longer, but oh well, at least I got a chance to meet you all. Thanks dydecker for recommending such a cool place and to everyone for coming. I had a great time!

Hey everyone - that was a really cool night (and a great little spot with the Indiana Jones toilets and all) - it was great to have met you all, and sconbie and I thank you very much for the kind words and gifts.
