Marvelous! I loved meeting you all and deeply regret the conflict with the IV debate that caused me to arrive so late and leave so soon.

I'll bring mine along next time. Last formal hall, I wore my gown over my leather jacket. As Feynman said, gowns make it possible to wear whatever you want in ordinary life while ensuring a certain level of decorum and respect within the formal setting.

This has been taken to extremes, I am told, by a certain Boat Club. On one hand, their sartorial accoutrement originated the term "blazer". On the other, some have been rumored to attend Hall in boxers.

I had an excellent time. I just got back from a long weekend, I continued on up to Derbyshire from Cambridge and have only just got home, so pics will be posted tomorrow.

Fantastic company, good food, amazing setting.

Oh, and Grace before the meal was said in LATIN!

I had a great time - that was my first meetup, so thanks to Grouse for arranging it. It was good to meet you all. I'm quite nostalgic for formal hall now - that was the first I've been to for over 10 years.
