Seattle Meetup June 8

Seattle meetup: weekend of June 8th? I'm going to be there for just the weekend. What say you? Saturday the 9th might work the best.

I like June 9 better and would do my best to attend. Years ago we did an outdoor meetup at Gasworks, wonder what the possibility is of something similar?

I'd love to do a meetup, but I'm just going to be getting off a 14-hour plane flight from a 3-week vacation on the 9th, so I'll probably just want to go home and reacquaint myself with my bed.

The last time I saw Bingo was at a Mefi meetup right before I left New York, so it would seem to poetic to see him right before I leave Seattle. Also, I like Liberty.

I live in T-town now, so heading to Seattle is more of a production than before. That said, I'll try to make it.

Liberty's cool, but kinda smallish. How many people does one of these things usually draw?

I think the Comet exists, but I haven't been there in years. I was going to suggest 22 Doors, just down the street from Liberty which is bigger but still small table oriented. For large and in Capitol Hill, nothing beats the Elysian or Six Arms.

I think we need to finalshizzie this dizzie. We probs need to select a place that will allow a reservation. I think they have always topped out at 15, reserving space for 10 might suffice. I vote Elysian.

Even on a Saturday night, the Elysian will likely have the most seating without needing a reservation, so yeah- that makes sense, I'd say the Elysian makes the best sense: fairly central, large capacity, no reservations needed depending on when we arrive. It's kind of a default get-together spot on the Hill, too.

If they have it available: the Arch Wit is perhaps the finest beer I've ever had.

It's a bit confusing, because the top of this page says Friday. But the sidebar says Saturday because that's what I was really hoping for. Please let's have it Saturday, it will make everything easier.

My power went out at 2:30PM today, right in the middle of the open house I was hosting to sell my townhouse in Queen Anne (see my profile for link). A neighbor told me a tree brought down a power line during the storm this afternoon. Today sucked, not the least of which was missing the meetup. I hope you guys had fun. I am going to watch The 40-Year-Old-Virgin and go to sleep. Whoopee.
