London Meetup?

MeFi London meetup - already discussed many times before I know....

But did it ever happen?
Will it happen again?
Can anyone remember?

If it was a meet for the whole of the UK we could call it MeFUK and then I'd laugh cos it'd be funny.

Seriously though, maybe something UK wide meeting up in Birmingham or Manchester or something would be worth doing.

meeting up would be the spoddiest, spackiest thing I've ever done.... but I think it would be very interesting.

Ummm...19th April says Vendredi in my diary....which I believe translates to Friday....

So Friday 19th April location not as important - London maybe...although I start in leeds that day....

Bleh. I can't do Friday 19th, I'll be in Oxford (incidentally, if anyone else is in Oxford we could meet up). The problem with that date, it seems, is that it's when a lot of people are going back to uni.

I don't see why it "has" to be in London. Somewhere more central would be far more sensible.

..as a follow-up, a meet on a Saturday night in Birmingham would be quite convenient as long as it coincided with a West Bromwich Albion home game...

OK....I see no compelling reason to have it in London...but no compelling reason why not...I have to travel anyway...

it has to be London. everywhere else is not London, therefore is no good.

Ok, i meant to propose Thursday, 18th April (sorry),
howsabout Oxford (which is accesible by bus/coach/train from London/Birmingham cheaply) but am willing to go to either of the other two locations.

Salmacis, Adrianhon & dash_slot- are in Oxford, mattr is ok with Oxford, so..... I propose the Kings Arms, Broad St, 8pm in the no smoking section?

Ack! I'm only in Oxford on April 19-21st, sorry! Being there on the 18th would unfortunately be overstaying my welcome. But I'm (seriously) not bothered if it goes ahead - there will be other meets.
