LokiTorrent: should I worry?

Should I worry or not?

Given the large response to the thread about the closure of LokiTorrent and an anonymous comment in AskMeFi on the 11th I thought I'd let the good users of MeFi know about this. It came from my ISP today. I'm in London England for reference purposes. I've also removed sensitive bits. The file (movie) in question was however a 'Hollywood Blockbuster'. I got 15 mins through it and ditched it it really was S**t.
Just to let you know I have only downloaded 2 movies in 3 years, this one I consigned to the recycle bin the other I bought on DVD as it had some merit! [full email]

Good God, I think you should be worried because you might well be a moron, given the absurd inappropriateness of posting this, and posting the whole thing on the main page.

Well I for one am very concerned that you received a letter saying "Dear ****** Customer,
We have received a complaint regarding an allegation of "Copyright Infringement"

Oh Mi Gawd. This always happens. I leave for a couple of hours, just to have a little time to myself, and I come back and there is ALL THIS POO ON THE CARPET.

And then I find out that you guys had a party and were really having a good time BUT MATT CAME IN AND MADE EVERYBODY LEAVE AND WIPED AWAY ALL TRACE OF IT so that those of us who weren't at the party could only hear about it second hand.

darksmiler, in regards of if you should worry or not, I say: not.

Fox film sent a nasty letter to your ISP, who passed it on to you as theyw ere told. Then what? The letter doesn't even say.

If I were you though, I'd consider getting another ISP.

Also, think of this: They say you shouldn't have a copy of the movie. So why don't you buy a legal copy? It may be crap, but since you cannot undo the download, at least having legal copies of the movies you've downloaded would indicate you are not out to rip off Fox. I doubt this will go anywhere anyway, but if you want some peace of mind, having a legal copy of the movie can't hurt.

The Dark Side of the Gravy is genius, but for what it's worth, OpusDark hasn't been a pain in the ass yet. At least, for me. *checks ass*
