MeFiSF: Couldn't be at SXSW this year? Come cry in your beer at at Martin Mack's! This Irish bar has food and is located at 1568 Haight St (between Ashbury and Clayton). Come on over anytime after 6 PM.

Dang, I remember that place. It was a sort of dangerous place before it became Martin Mack's, mid-eighties-ish.

Is the Irish bar across the street and slightly west still there? Golden something. Brendan was the bartender. Jesus godalmighty I miss San Francisco.

I'll have to supply a vague position as well. I've got a prior commitment, but I'm so spent on Friday nights that there's only a 50% chance I'll even make it to that.

goofyfoot, if you mean the Gold Cane Lounge, yes, it's still there. Has been since 1926.

I won't be able to make it; I'm taking some tourists to the Audium tonight.

NOOOO!!!!!!

I wish I'd seen this yesterday. I'm in SF right now, sort of boredly wandering around aimlessly.

If anyone's up for a meetup tonight (tonight being Saturday), I'm more than up for it. Pity I managed to miss the one yesterday.
