Blogger's been a bit upity today hasn't it?

I've been trying to post all day to no avail. Status hasn't been updated since the 12th either. Hmmm.

I wish there was a weblogging program I could use on a site where I have no php access, like geocities. Some sort of cross between Notepad, FTP, and a simple Database program, then I wouldn't have to use Blogger at all. Anyone know anything like this?

Radio UserLand is another client-side weblog thing, if you're willing to drop simple from your criteria. It's also an RSS syndicator like AmphetaDesk.

I'd certainly look at CityDesk first (there is a free but limited "Starter Edition", unless you're a rabid tinkerer.

Some sort of cross between Notepad, FTP, and a simple Database program...

Blog is almost exactly what you described. It's free, too, and the author has been extremely open to user feedback/questions.

Excellent Freakho. I'd been looking around sourceforge and other places for exactly something like blog. I had actually picked up Petzold's windows programming book and had started some programming, but now I can toss that.

Interface is a little cluttered, but I'll try it out for a while and I might be able to finally dump blogger.
