Hark! I hear distant rumblings that suggest a Vancouver MeFi meetup might be a nice thing to do. Any ideas?
I walked past the Nelson cafe and considered saying "hey let's meet at 6pm tonight!" earlier today.

I'm interested, but i'm going to be noncommittal until a date has been suggested.
What are you doing in town Matt? Holiday? Business?

Just in town for business, for the day. Heading home tomorrow.

Anyone want to come over to my place and watch "Lost in Translation"?
Or maybe breakfast tomorrow before mathowie heads home?

I was just a block from there at 6pm today - leaving a "team building" bowling event at the Commodore Lanes.
It turns out I'm not a very good bowler.

I just might be tempted to wander out from the wilds of the Fraser Valley for a Mefi meetup...

I expect to be down Vancouver-way in late April.

I sort of thought that mathowie might be in Vancouver again after viewing the shot he took crossing the border by the Peace Arch the other day. Great tagline mdash; Canada: our worst heroin infested alleys are safer than most major American cities.
I'm game, antifreez_, as long as we go somewhere with free desserts. Ain't nothing sweeter than free desserts.

OK, that whole having to retype your HTML character entities after previewing has *got* to go

Shall we try again for late April, i.e., Friday April 30th? Does that work for you, five fresh fish?
As usual, I'd like to be downtown.

I'm down there from the 21st to the 24th or thereabouts. HSA convention.
If anyone has leads on a Kawasaki Super Sherpa motorcycle, I'm all ears. Ditto a Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute.

What about the 23rd, then? 'Round about after-work time (5ish)?
I'm flexible for venues, as I'm coming from the office in Lake City, so everywhere is far away from here. Downtown is always nice, as is the West End. Any opinions on somewhere along the Fairview Slopes / south Granville?
