I'd just like to take a moment to thank Dreama for organizing and pulling off the MeFi Swap, which, at least for me, went off swimmingly. Good music (Coloratura 4-eva) all-around, and I look forward to another swap in the future...so, umm, yeah...thanks!

Agreed. The Mefiswap was a big hit. Many thanks, dreama and my fellow Unicorda swappers!

I've loved the ones I've gotten, and hopefully people will like mine too, once my second attempt to send them goes through (note to self: Post Office will not deliver mail without postage. Idiot.)

I've enjoyed the two I've gotten, and look forward to receiving the others soon. Thanks, Dreama!

Amen. Blown away by some of the stuff I've gotten. Most of it went straight into my iPod and has been on heavy rotation since.

This Swap has been particularly outstanding for me.
Strange how there is a never ending supply of new music to discover.

I think we may have had two nixers in our particular set (though maybe they're planning some last minute surprise...?), but it's still been great. Big thanks to Dreama and the Swappers.

I put in for two sets and have really enjoyed what I've gotten so far. A few themed mixes this time around, interestingly enough...

Rather than reading through all of the swapset forums, I thought I'd just ask: did anyone put their mixes online, like some have done in the past?

I put some liner notes on my blog, but I haven't posted the actual tracks anywhere (BTW, I'm up for one-to-one swaps if anyone reads those notes and likes what they see).

Possibly stupid question- I signed up for the first session, but I'd like to sign up for the second session. Do I have to do a new mix for the second session, or will I have a completely different list of people, so I can send the same swap again (I'm quite proud of it!)?

You could send a disc full of recorded numbers stations if you wanted to. Dupe away! I, personally, plan to blatantly steal from the mefiswaps that I received for the next session.

For the first time, I received all five mixes. Yay!

Unicordia represent! It was really fun! I got some interesting stuff.

Hey PinkStainlessTail...Your mix looks interesting. I almost put Howling Hex on mine too but it got cut at the last minute in favor of RTX.

I love me some Trux, but I really couldn't get into RTX: Jennifer just doesn't have the chops to carry a band on her own for me.

There's a page of FAQs for the swaps that'll yell you what you need to know.

And, yes, many thanks for organising this. I signed up for two swaps, and what I've got so far has been fantastic. I've already spent ££ on buying albums from several artists that I've discovered from others' mixes.

this was the best swap evAr. Just like TheDonF, I'm picking up some great new googds thanks to this.

Impressionist group --- your mix is coming, honest. Love the ones so far.

I was also pleasantly surprised to get all 5 discs in my trade (go Baroque!) since I know that doesn't always happen in disc swaps. I even got them all on time! Although there were a bunch of bands I'm not a big fan of on the discs I received - every single one of them had at least a few gems that I had never heard. Huge thanks to Dreama for pulling this whole thing off.

I didn't post the music to my mix online, but I did post the tracklisting and mefi-themed artwork on the space I feel embarrassed to even refer to as my blog.

Etude {Sigh} not the most reliable bunch. I finally got a third mix in the mail last Wednesday which is about two more than I was expecting.

I really had to laugh at one hapless member who responded to an email by confessing he didn't know his membership number, he had forgotten his password, he didn't know where to go and he was confused as to what to do next.

I'm mailing mine out real soon now. Honest.

As punishment for my tardiness, I'm refusing to listen to the discs I've received until I send mine out.

Swapset Motif has been great so far. Thanks to fatllama, flume, maus501(twice) and seawallrunner, and of course Dreama.
