It's been a while since our last post, so I thought I'd remind folks about the Metafilter RUNNER+ group. Everybody's welcome to join in the challenges, and you don't have to have the Nike+iPod kit anymore. The February Challenge was won by Slarty Bartfast, who racked up more than 150km! Only 3 days left in the August cycling challenge. Wolfdog still leads JeffL, but an 85 mile lead isn't very big the way those guys are riding.

A MeFi bicycling challenge was mentioned here and if it was mentioned in other places as well, I apologize-- I couldn't find it. So, who is up for a bicycling challenge similar to what those wacky runners have going on? I am pretty sure we can use a website such as We Endure or similar to start a group and track our progress. Any takers?

The current MeFi running challenge is in its final days. I'll post the final results in a couple of days. I don't want to jinx it, but I might actually win this one...(Previous challenges : 1.0., 2.0.,3.0.,3.1.) We're already gearing up for the July distance challenge. I've sent a new invite to the current participants. If you've got the nike+ sports kit for the ipod nano and want to measure yourself against the dreaded metathletes, post your nike+ screenname in this thread, and I'll send you an invite to the challenge.
