Matt, can you please add Wikipedia to the list of places to check on the AskMe post a question page? A number of times, I've noticed perfectly cromulent answers were in there. In fact, I bet Mefites can suggest at least a couple other "check here first" sources.

I've been a MeFite for about a year now. Occasionally someone makes a post beginning with "On preview:". I still have no idea what this means. Anybody?

Which leads me to: How about adding a MeFi lexicon?

Question #1: Are there any plans for a Mozilla Calendar/iCal plugin which would state the tentative dates for future swaps/meetups?

Question #2: A number of folks (myself included) occasionally visit MeFi/MeTa via PDA; for the sake of those "handheld immigrants", could a downloadable version of the Guidelines be made available for offline viewing?

If it would be too much to trouble to implement, no big deal, mathowie, but how about requiring a scroll down the posting guidelines page before someone posts their first link to MeFi? Some of the discussions on MetaTalk lately indicate that first-time posters aren't really aware of the guidelines, and maybe this might head off many of the threads that you delete outrightpage before someone posts their first link to MeFi?
