This is probably obvious, which is why I couldn't find it in the FAQ or the search. Why do people preface their questions with "[blank] filter:"? Does it help future searches and RSS filters?

Two requests for Mefi Music: 1. It would be nice to have usernames on the tag results page. (e.g. acoustic) This would help users find other songs by the same artist. 2. The frontpage tends to load my system because of all of the flash files. Would it be possible to have everything show up on one playlist like the "tagged with" pages or the user pages? [mi]

Howdy. I'm searching for a post that I think was made here awhile back of people carrying ridiculous amounts of stuff while riding a bike. I can't find it [maybe it wasn't here]. Robots.txt for the <tagname>.metafilter.com domains should exclude all rebots. Currently the robots reindex the entire site for each subdomain.

Here or AskMeFi?

i'm not sure if i should post this here or ask mefi, but i'm looking for an old post that i found around Thanksgiving.

It was a blog and/or humorous editorial about Thanksgiving in the White House. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and/or know where I can find it?
I've searched for keywords and searched the tags, but i'm just not finding it.

Tag problem? Searching for the Jeff Gannon thread to post this juicy update, I found this page, which says there's a tag but doesn't show it. I think it may be a tag for a deleted double post?
