Pony request: For years, Thinkblank ran their great Secret Santa, where people would put in their wish list of <$20 gifts from a website and then a computer would randomly couple participants together and they would accordingly send gifts but wouldn't know who the giver was until six months later. But, sadly, Thinkblank is defunct. Possible to do a secret santa on Metafilter?

I was contemplating tranquileye's previous post, and thinking that it's a fun idea to give something to and get something from somebody you don't know at all, but even more fun if you know at least a little something about them; wouldn't it be great to have a MeFi "Secret Santa" next year? And if so, how would we go about that? more...
