Okay... that was not funny and really horrible...

It's a pity I won't be able to make it tonight to explain in person how insensitive and shitty it is for men to joke about sexual assault, but I have a training that they shifted. I'm all about MeFi, but I'm also about the Benjamins, yo.

Thanks for the shout-out, though, scarabic! I'm back in Cali for a good while, so I'll make it to the next one. Take lots of pitchers!

Awkward? As an awkward nobody, let me assure you that meetups are the only thing that has made me a "regular" on MeFi.

That and Metamucil.

It's only awkward if it's daytime/brightly lit and everyone is stone cold sober. Happily, Jupiter has the flattering low light and alcohol social lubricants that make it all about the friendly beverages and napkin-defacing. That, and maybe some pizza.

Right now it's actually drizzling lightly for 2 minutes at a time here and there, so I think we'd be wise to follow the example of the great January MeFi/Mofi meetup and gather inside, probably upstairs.
