Mefi Projects: I know it's beta but I'm still unable to vote. This makes me sad.
are you now or were you ever convicted of a felony?
I'll work on it now. It does a check for your userID and password before letting you vote. It worked in my tests with a few user accounts so I deployed it as good. I probably messed some small thing up.

While we're here, a feature request: it would be neat if items that had been subsequently FPPed on the Blue were modified to link to the FPP, show who posted it, etc. That way the person who put in on Projects would know of their success.
Maybe that could be done by the person who took to the the Blue, so that the admins didn't have to watch for it?

That's a good point. Anyway, thanks for working on it. I know we felons shouldn't be allowed to vote so it's awfully nice of you to try to open up some loophole.

selfnoise, I could have a "post this to metafilter" button to track all that, once submitted. It'd also drive the point of projects home, that the good stuff should float up.

That'd work. Be nice if you could also use the button after the fact.

Of course, to fully integrate this information management solution with the current functionality of the blue, we'll also need a "double-post this to Metafilter" button.

Awesome. Thanks Matt. And in actuality, I logged in as mathowie and posted that comment. So no voter/election fraud. Just wanted to clear that up.

This web-app nerd wants to know: what was wrong? All users with a 2 in their uid couldn't vote?

I don't know what it was, the sql statement worked on the db server, but not in the code. I moved one variable check out to a new variable and fed it back into sql, and it worked for all. But it should have worked before.
