What's up with the downtime?

Any explanation for why Me* seems to be dying overnight again?

I wants me some morning MeFi goodness, but it seems as though every day when I get into work (~8:30 GMT) all of the Me* sites are dead.

Seconded - there seem to be frequent, though normally short outages between 0800 GMT and 1300hrs. Screws up us Europeans it does! This has been going on for a week or so now, maybe longer.

Mathowie is secretly undermining the US economy by insuring that you europeans beat us in productivity, despite your lax 35 hour work week and afternoon siesta lifestyles. I can only assume that this is because he's padded his retirement savings with international funds, and he wants to keep you guys working, and that his goals aren't to ruin our economy, but I think I'm going to call Homeland Security on him, the goddamned econo-terrorist, just to be on the safe side!

Antifuse, when they're not being used as a footnote designator, I read asterisks as shorthand for "asshole", so your questions comes across as "Any explanation for why Me asshole seems to be dying overnight again". Which is a pretty strange question for the grey, so I'm flagging it. Metafilter is not responsible for your asshole's mortality.
