The Roost is the best dive bar in LA. Whoever recommended it is a stone cold genius and a true patiot.

I've been told this place is walking distance from where I'm staying. We may take a hike in the evening to watch the full moon rise (in which case I might be there closer to 7:30) but I'm really looking frward to seeing you all tonight!

I have two photos: this one from The Roost and this one fromJumbo's. It was a surprisingly shoutoutless meetup, but we did have a very nice time at the titty bar. Nice to meet all of you!

It was awesome meeting you all, what a blast. It was also great to be part of the historic 'first metafilter meetup to end up at a titty bar.'

Those of you who couldn't attend missed a lovely event, and those of you who went home early missed the lovely Isis. But hey, if you couldn't make this one, that just means we have an excuse to do another one in the near future.
