Hey, what's going here? I read a very long fpp, with a comment inside saying it was too long. Now the comment has been axed, the post stays and two more very long fpps are there....
is something amiss?
is something amiss?
Uhm.. can we maybe get a word on what constitutes "too long" for the FPP? Eight lines? Fifty words or less? No more than three links within the opening paragraph? Should one-liners be frowned upon?
Maybe the field where people compose the FPP can be limited in some way, to not allow more than a certain number of characters before it acts as if it's full?
I'm not saying this cuz I agree with it. I happen to like the variety of sizes of FPPs and enjoy how people can express themselves as they see fit, but I do admit some people go to uncomfortable extremes occasionally, and take advantage of the freeform. Maybe a little coded restrictiveness is appropriate here. People could still post to their own FPP and elaborate as much as they like. So there'd be no censorship. People would just have to keep their FPP's brief and take elaborations inside the thread.
Just trying to help find some common ground or a solution to the problem.
