I don't know, it seemed ok to me. One of the questions was actually really helpful. Not the Jellyfish one. A decent place to go to ask that second question after you've used you one around here. posted by JohnnyGunn at 8:49 PM on July 7, 2007
"Clinton Kelly is, in fact, gay."
"Shut up!"
(I had to look up who he is, then his co-star, to find a quote from her; I wish WNTW would make ME over, though it'd require major surgery.) posted by davy at 8:53 PM on July 7, 2007
Fluther? Sounds like something that you do do with Santorum after hot, gay, sex. posted by delmoi at 9:51 PM on July 7, 2007 [3 favorites]

I happened across Ask Me via Google for the first time the other day. It felt warm and fuzzy ...and like a frozen pea in my finger. Ask says it's a ganglion.
Anyway, we've got the jump on those flutherbutts. flutherknuckles? Must devise derogatory term...
A fluther is a group of jellyfish, like a gaggle of geese (or a taint of tilapia)
Yeah, I want guidance from a group of jellyfish, or something like a taint. posted by Ambrosia Voyeur at 11:14 PM on July 7, 2007

Yeah, I saw this site a while back and put in in my Flickr stream and ranted a little about it - the cofounder responded to me, which was nice to do. My frustration isn't so much with them but with any startup which thinks they can take on established players without having anything particularily new to offer. It's the same thing in the video sharing arena - you've got to be offering a lot more to go up against YouTubeGoogle, no? And nine times out of ten they don't really have anything different. Ah well... what can ya do. Me, I came to MeFi for the knowledge and ended up staying for the snark (and the knowledge, and the users), amongst other things. posted by rmm at 5:51 PM on July 8, 2007
Could this site compete with askme? Nothing could be Flurther from the truth. Ah ha-ha. posted by boo_radley at 8:49 AM on July 9, 2007

Dude... I had no idea who Clinton Kelly was, other than knowing that I had a high school classmate of the same name. Being nearly 24, I freaked out a little, thinking that all of my former classmates are going on to do fabulous things while I sit here, poor and degree-less. It was a relief to find out that the Clinton Kelly referenced is, in fact, 38, and not 24. posted by po at 5:35 PM on July 10, 2007
